Yield: 8 - 10 cups rice
Ingredients
- 2 cups rice
- 1/4 cup oil
- 4 cups hot water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 2 tbsp chicken soup base
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
Directions
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the rice and fry while stirring occasionally until it begins to brown.
- Reduce heat and add the remaining ingredients and mix. Cover and let simmer for 30-40 minutes until all of the liquid is absorbed.
- Serve hot.
