Cookie Dough Brownies

Whatever level of awesome you are expecting, you should turn it up another notch.

Ingredients


  • Brownies
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 cup oil
    • 2 cup sugar
    • 2 tsp vanilla
    • 1 1/2 cups flour
    • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
    • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Filling
    • 1 cup butter, softened
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • 2 tsp vanilla
    • 2 cups flour
  • Topping
    • 1 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 2 tbsp sugar
    • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • Chopped nuts, optional

Directions


  1. In mixing bowl, beat together the eggs, oil, sugar, and vanilla.
  2. Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 13 pan.  Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  4. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. For the filling, beat together the butter and sugars until fluffy.  Add in remaining ingredients and mix well.  Spread over the brownies.  Refrigerate.
  6. For the topping, combine the cream, butter, and sugar in a sauce pan.  Heat gradually to a boil, stirring regularly.  Remove from heat.
  7. Place the chocolate chips in a bowl.  Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let sit for 3 minutes.  Stir until smooth.
  8. Pour the chocolate ganache over the top of the brownies.  Top with chopped nuts if desired.  Cool on the counter for one hour, and then let set in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
