Orange Poppy Seed Cake
Orange == good.
Ingredients
- Cake
- 1 package (18.25 oz) white cake mix
- 1 large orange
- 16 oz sour cream, divided
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1 tsp orange extract
- Frosting
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
- 1 tsp orange extract
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large orange
Directions
- Combine the cake mix, zest from orange, sour cream, poppy seeds, and orange extract. Batter will be thick.
- Grease a 9" x 5" bread pan and line the bottom with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan and bake at 350ºF for 40-45 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack. Remove from pan.
- For the frosting, combine the cream cheese, orange extract, almond extract, and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread over the top and sides of the cake.
- Slide the orange. Garnish the cake with orange slices.
- Store in refrigerator.

I made this cake using a Gluten Free cake mix for my mom and it was amazing! You really need to stop posting recipes like this because I want to eat all of them. :-)
