Great tasting dessert was never so easy. It takes very little work to throw together this easy dessert that will leave your taste buds happy.

Ingredients
- Peach Filling
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 4 cups sliced fresh peaches
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Pastry
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp cold butter
- 1/2 cup half and half
- Additional sugar, if desired
- Ice cream, if desired
Directions
- In saucepan, mix the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir in the peaches and lemon juice.
- Cook over medium heat until it simmers and thickens. Pour into an ungreased casserole dish and keep in the oven to keep it hot.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until crumbly. Mix in the half and half.
- Divide the batter into six even portions and drop into the peach mixture. Sprinkle with additional sugar.
- Bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream or sweetened whipped cream.
