Yet another variation on banana bread, this one has a spiced taste that is a little unusual. If you've got a few bananas sitting around and you're looking to change it up a little, give this a shot.

Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp spiced rum
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups flour
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the mashed bananas and butter. Stir in the sugar, egg, vanilla and rum. Add the spices and mix well.
- Stir in the salt, baking soda, and flour just until moistened.
- Divide the batter evenly amongst 16 muffin tins that have been lined with paper liners.
- Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean.
- Cool on a wire rack.
