Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup + 2 tbsp flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup toffee bits
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- Ice cream
- Vanilla or another mild flavor
Directions
- Place the butter in a 9x13 baking dish. Place in the oven at 350°F until melted (3-5 minutes).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and vanilla. Pour into the buttered baking dish.
- In another mixing bowl, combine the pecans, brown sugar, and toffee bits. Sprinkle over the batter.
- Slowly pour the boiling water over the batter (trust me). Do not mix or stir.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Let stand for a half hour.
- Serve warm with ice cream.
