Yield: 5 cups
Ingredients
- 8 medium pears, peeled and quartered
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
Directions
- Place the pears in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
- In a large pot, combine the pears and sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer uncovered for 40 minutes.
- Add in the drained crushed pineapple, and continue simmering for an additional 5 minutes.
- Ladle into sterilized jars. Screw on sterilized lids.
- Enjoy on top of biscuits or toast.
