Ingredients
- 5 strips bacon
- 1 lb. fresh brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut in half
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Directions
- Cook the bacon until crispy. Remove to a plate lined with paper towel. Break into small pieces.
- Score an 'X' into the core of each Brussels sprout. Saute the sprouts in the butter for 4-5 minutes until lightly browned.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Uncover and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer the sprouts to a serving dish. Sprinkle with bacon and serve immediately.
