Ingredients
- Vodka Sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce (6 oz.)
- 1/4 cup vodka
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp salt
- Gnocchi
- Approximately 3 cups homemade gnocchi
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (or basil)
Directions
- For the sauce, heat butter in an oven-safe pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and saute.
- Add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes. Add the vodka and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the cream, broth, and salt. Bring to a low simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon. Remove from the heat.
- Cook the gnocchi in boiling water until they float to the surface. Strain from the water, and add the gnocchi to the sauce.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the top, and bake for 8 minutes at 500°F.
- Remove from the oven. Serve immediately and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
