Ingredients
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 can (15 oz.) great northern beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp molasses
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp liquid smoke
- 2 tsp red wine vinegar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- In a skillet, sauté the onion in a bit of oil until tender. Add the beans, tomatoes, garlic, molasses, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and add the liquid smoke, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Transfer the beans to a 1.5 quart disposable, greased aluminum foil container. Cover with foil and refrigerate until ready to cook.
- To cook, place over a campfire until the beans are warmed through, about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve hot.
