Yield: 6 servings
Ingredients
- 2 cups BBQ sauce
- 2 tsp liquid smoke
- 2 - 2 1/2 lbs. sausage
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the BBQ sauce and liquid smoke.
- Cut the sausage into 1/2" bite-sized pieces. Add to the BBQ sauce and toss to coat.
- Transfer the sausage and all the sauce to a 9" x 13" casserole dish. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top.
- Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. The sauce should be bubbly and show some caramelization.
- Serve hot.
You can also bake in ramekins for individual servings.
