Baked BBQ Sausage

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups BBQ sauce
  • 2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 2 - 2 1/2 lbs. sausage
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the BBQ sauce and liquid smoke.
  2. Cut the sausage into 1/2" bite-sized pieces.  Add to the BBQ sauce and toss to coat.
  3. Transfer the sausage and all the sauce to a 9" x 13" casserole dish.  Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.  The sauce should be bubbly and show some caramelization.
  5. Serve hot.
You can also bake in ramekins for individual servings.
